The Walther hunting knife set is any hunters dream set.
This set comes in a durable nylon sheath and consists of 2 knives and a saw.
Each tool comes with a hole in each handle, ideal for threading through some para chord or putting them onto a lanyard, although I personally wouldn’t use this option as the sheath they come in has a very strong, leather double stood belt loop which attaches quickly and easily and once attached won’t be going anywhere. 

Once attached it is low slung, exactly where it’s needed, falls to hand.

Each tool is firmly attached into the sheath with a fastener, so no need to worry about any tool slipping out or knocking and dropping them. Each individual sleeve has a synthetic liner to protect the sheath from being ripped or torn which is a really thought out feature.

The sheath also has the Walther branding on, as well as all of the tools, another huge positive point to make is that the sheath containing all of the tools is super lightweight to carry, although you’d think it to be quite weighty just by appearance, but it’s far from it! It would definitely weigh less than the average woman's handbag.

All of these tools have a rubberized handle, that can ensure a firm grasp even when wet or in less than perfect conditions.

The large knife has a traditional skinner shape blade and a gut hook for field dressing. On the blade is a grooved thumb rest allowing for excellent guidance and accuracy safely and the blade material is a hard wearing and rugged 440 stainless steel. It has a large handle, so is very suitable for even the biggest of hands, mine are quite little but it still felt comfortable and secure in the hand.

The smaller knife is designed for finer work in skinning and dressing which also features a thumb and finger rest for greater and safer control, this like the larger knife also feels secure and comfortable to hold in the hand and also has a 440 stainless steel blade which can take a razors edge and be extremely resistant to staining.

This set also includes a compact bone saw with an ergonomic designed grip for maximum comfort and safety.

This is an absolute essential set for any hunter or game keeper who likes to dress their own game.

The Walther Black Tac Pro is the upgrade to the classic version and is a very sturdy and solid knife. Its design is that of a real tactical looking knife which are becoming very popular to collectors, survivalists and hunters.

Blade 

The spear point blade is made of 12C27 Sandvik  which is more substantial and durable than your average stainless steel made blade, which means it will hold its razor blade edge for a longer amount of time. The blade measures 87mm, the weight of this knife is 190g and the overall length of the knife is measuring 209cm. It has a liner lock mechanism which is securely locked when open and is partially serrated too for cutting those stubborn materials or surfaces. We have the walther trades on both the handle and the blade which with all the Walther and Walther pro range I find these marking to be quite attractive, on some other knives they can seem quite bland, the Walther trades just add that little extra something to these knives and I personally like this feature. 

Handle

It’s Rubberised G10 handle feels comfortable and solid in the hand with no slip, despite the knife looking heavy and weighing a little more than the average Walther Pro range, it is still a real lightweight and is an ideal tool to hold and use. It has a thumb groove, guiding your thumb to the correct hold, preventing your thumb or fingers from injury. The handle, I feel, is really quite stunning - With its smooth curves and ruggedness! I feel this could be a popular knife with the ladies as well as the guys! I love the rubberised handles because they’re just so practical and grippy, it kind of makes you feel a little at ease knowing the knife is literally gripping to your hand without any fear of slipping.

Features

This knife features a tungsten carbide glass breaker, ideal for any emergency situation and it also features a detachable opening pin for easy maintenance.

Uses

A convenient knife made for outdoors, climbing and trekking. The perfect hunting tool to take out or a very useful tool for those of you who love to go fishing, this would be a great skinning knife or simply just one to carry if you’re a trekker or enjoy your wilderness walks!

It comes with the nylon belt pouch which also has the Walther branding and can be put onto your belt using the horizontal or vertical belt loops. I would highly recommend this knife to any of my hunting or shooting buddies who are looking for a great tool to take out into the field with them.

The Apina sport outdoor set would make the perfect gift for any occasion, birthdays, fathers day, Christmas and would make any Dad, Grandad, Uncle or brother very happy.
This set comes with binoculars, a multipurpose knife and a torch which I’ll go over in detail individually..

Knife
We’ll start first of all, with the multipurpose knife. This knife has 9 functions like other knives of this type, but this one has a blade, scissors, bottle opener, can opener, corkscrew, head and slotted screw driver and a file.  This tool has a drop point 420 stainless blade and it comes with a keyring attachment. It is super lightweight and would be ideal hung from a lanyard.
It has a synthetic textured handle which gives good grip even with wet hands and is really comfy and snug in your hand.The blade on this knife came a little dull but a few swipes through my ceramic knife sharpener and it soon had a keen razors edge. Any hunter or fisherman will find this knife incredibly useful, but this knife would suit anyone in general if they’d like to own a practical tool in their household.

Binoculars
This set includes these handy pocket sized rubberized binoculars that are 8x21 and have really nice optics. Attached is neck lanyard which when wearing around your neck you will soon forget you’re carrying them, as like the knife, these bino’s are incredibly light!! They have the Alpina Sport branding in small lettering on the top of the bino’s too. They are easy and smooth to adjust and would be perfect for any little hunter keeping an eye out in the field for you if you decide to take your mini me along for a spot of hunting. They are so ideal, they could be used by bird watchers, or trekkers, they could be taken to the woods to watch wildlife, they’re ideal to keep in the car as they are so tiny and I think they are a fantastic accessory to carry around if you’re going for a countryside walk!

Torch
This torch is constructed from aluminium and has an LED light that gives 60 lumen of pure white light, it also comes with a focus lens to give spotlight or floodlight with a maximum useable range of 60metres . This torch takes 3 AAA batteries which are included in the set.  It has a simple rubber on/off button and also attached is a wrist lanyard, ideal for Its purpose.

Opinions
My son is coming up to the age of seven years old, and I would buy this set for him, take the knife away for my collection and allow him to use the torch and binoculars when coming along on hunting trips with me. I would personally find this set useful and very handy for when I go out walking or when I’m out in the field. Climbers, trekkers, campers, walkers, hunters, fisherman, anyone and everyone could make fantastic use of this set.

I hate to say the C word, but Christmas is indeed creeping up on us incredibly fast, this year has absolutely flown by, that being said – consider this set to add to your list this Christmas or even if you’re struggling for ideas for relatives, this is a fantastic ‘get out of jail’ free card and like I said before, will make any guy (and hopefully ladies too) very happy indeed!

When I first took this knife out of the box, the first initial thought was, wow!! This is a really attractive looking blade, it’s tanto style combined with it’s tactical look is right up my street! Anybody who knows me, will know that I am a massive tactical style lover and I can’t get enough of tactical style blades!

Blade
The blade is partially serrated and the cutting edge is taper ground. The blade is made of sand Vic, it’s 12c27 advanced stainless steel also used in ice skates, ice drills and also razor blades. This steel is strong and has good corrosion resistance and holds that razors edge!
It comes in a grey parkarised finish with the Walther trade on the left hand side of the blade.

The blade length is 9cm and has a flicker stud on both sides so you can open with your right or left hand. The total length of this knife open is 21cm.

Handle
The handle is made from G10 which is an ideal material for tactical folders because of its ruggedness and lightweight. It feels very comfortable and secure in the hand.
It’s beautifully detailed and again carries the Walther trades on both sides.
This knife has very thick steel liners for added strength!
The blade locks into place with a liner lock, the glass breaker is made from tungsten carbide which is two times stronger than steel.

The blade pin on this knife is removable which is great for cleaning if you should ever get grit or grime in there.

Uses
It’s a very popular design for the collectors! it is not useful as a general utility knife. However, it's extremely strong point allows it to be used in tough situations where piercing hard materials is required. I would personally use it as a camping knife, or if you’re going for a treck it could be useful to have on you, as the serrated edge can cut through chord and thicker rope if you need to. And the bladed part of the Tanto can be good for lighter cutting.

Opinion
This knife has been very well thought out, the designer has shown a lot of attention to detail which you can see from the stills which come with this review, it’s also made from extremely high grade materials which the pro range Walther produce is renowned for.

The knife also comes with a nylon belt case; all this comes in a well presented aluminium gift box.

Perfect for any occasion or if you fancy treating yourself to a really neat bit of kit!!

Blade
This knife has a 440 stainless steel drop point  taper ground blade which has a black coating. It has a large serrated area which is longer than on the average blade. This makes it easier for cutting cords, climbing ropes and belts which is what this knife is designed for. The blade length is 9.5 cm, overall length of the knife is 22.3 cm and the weight: 162 g.

Handle
The handle is made of polymer which has high visibility rubber inlays and each grip plate also has three fluorescent inlays so that the knife can be seen in the dark and held correctly, again preventing injury.

Features
It features a belt cutter and a glass breaker, and is an absolute essential to have on you in an emergency. Especially if you find yourself trapped in a vehicle and have only one hand free.
It also features a belt clip which can be placed on either side of the knife, whichever you prefer.

The Walther ERK has a flipper which allows the knife to be opened quickly and easily with an index finger using either left or right hand. Its useful being a flipper as if you need to be using this knife in the dark it reduces the risk of finger injuries from the blade. The Walther ERK has a liner lock mechanism for added safety and security.

Uses
This knife is an ideal companion if you’re a climber, if you should work in mountain or other rescue services, or perhaps carried in a backpack, it would make a great knife to carry if you’re a trecker or venturing around the wilderness. Walther Rescue knife pro

Blade
The Walther Rescue Knife Pro knife was designed specifically for the user to be able to wear gloves. With or without gloves though this knife feels secure in the hand and comfortable to hold!
The blade is made from sandvic 12c27 steel and the length of the blade is 90mm, the overall length of the knife 218mm with the weight being 208g.
The blade is easily accessible single handed, just like the ERK which is exactly what you need when in an amergency situation. It has a liner lock, very ideal for its uses and has a drop point blade.  It features a removable blade pin for easy maintenance and it just makes life a lot easier for getting that grime out!

Handle
The rubberised G10 handle is ideal for any situation. It is grippy, and as I stated earlier on, comfortable and secure.

Features
Two other excellent features are the built in finger guard on the blade which you can also to flip open the knife  and the tungsten carbide glass breaker on the handle, excellent for a safer and quicker access if need be in a tricky situation.
It also has a retractable seatbelt cutter which is really smooth to operate, and when it goes back in, it’s completely hidden!

Uses
Much like the ERK this would be suited for climbers, if you should work in mountain or other rescue services, or again maybe carried in a backpack, it would make a great knife to carry if you’re a trekker or venturing around the wilderness.
