Walther PPX knife

Walther PPX
(black & sand)

This knife takes design ques from the Walther PPX pistol – If you’re familiar with this pistol, it has the same textured grip as the pistol and some of the designs that are put into thee grip are also on the pistol as well.

Blade
The blades on these knives are 8.7cm long and the overall length of the knife is 20cm
The blade is really nicely parkerised  black with the Walther branding on the side.
The blade itself  is a mix between spear point and drop point, it’s partially serrated which is great for cutting through para chord, thick rope, cardboard and all those harder materials.
They come with a flipper stud for right handed people and for those of you lefties also too.
The blade itself has a slight curve down to it which I think would be suited really well to be used as a skinning knife. The blade has no play in it, which is really nice cause you can sometimes get a bit of free play on other knives. The blade is a liner lock which you see on most other knives. The blades come razor sharp and it’s a really nice looking blade.

Handle
The handle comes in a really attractive desert color which I really like, it has that modern military look to it, which I’m a big fan of. It also comes in black
The handle is fiberglass with a synthetic overlay and comes with metal liners for added strength, Walther have tested this material in cold conditions and hot conditions, and it stood up to these harsh conditions really well.
Its very grippy and has a really nice recess which directs your thumb straight onto the flipper stud, really cool feature! - It just means if you’re out at night and you need to open this knife in the dark, it just naturally guides your thumb.

The clip comes already attached to the knife but if you prefer to take it off you can, the clip is also iodized black, what I like about this clip is it does have a bit of spring to it, so it you’re using this clip on your pocket when you pull this knife out, it’s not going to be a trouser wrecker like on some other knives I’ve used in the past.
There’s also a hole so if you want to pop some para chord through to make yourself a wrist lanyard.

What I like about this knife, it has an expensive feel to it, it feels well made, just the right weight!

This knife also comes with an extremely durable well made knife pouch which also has the Walther branding on it, it has a belt loop on the back and all of this comes in a really nice presentation case.

So if you’re gifting this knife to somebody, it looks really presentable and expensive.  Or if you’re a collector of knives, it’s just a really nice tool to own!
Such an attractive box to keep it in too.

I genuinely really like this knife, and if I was out hiking, or out hunting it is definitely one I would consider putting into my backpack.

Please be sure to check your local knife laws to stay on the right side of the law.
